Bobtail: Trucker Ledger ("Bobtail", "we", "our", or "us") is operated by Daniel Raherimanjato. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's features:
Before your first AI scan or field suggestion for an account on a device, Bobtail explains what will be sent and asks you to select Allow AI processing. You can choose Not now and enter records manually. You can withdraw permission in Settings → Privacy → AI document processing. Permission is specific to the Bobtail account on that device. Turning it off prevents new AI requests for that account from that device; it does not recall requests already sent or delete previously saved records or cached results.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate the app:
OpenAI's handling and retention of API request data are governed by the applicable API agreements and data-handling terms. The service providers listed above also handle data according to their applicable terms and policies.
Saved records and attached document images remain on your device and, when synchronization is available, in Apple iCloud/CloudKit until removed through the app's record or account cleanup. Selected images may also remain on the device while a review or offline retry is pending. Cached extracted scan responses and image fingerprints remain associated with your Supabase account until hosted account deletion.
You may request account deletion from within the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Hosted deletion requires an authenticated connection. A successful request removes the account's hosted profile, expense, load, and cached scan records, any owned files present in private Supabase storage, and the authentication account. If a required cleanup step fails, the app reports the failure and the request may need to be retried; some earlier cleanup steps may already have completed.
The app also cleans up the account's local records and attachments. Changes on other Apple devices depend on CloudKit synchronization, so disconnected devices cannot be guaranteed immediate erasure. Copies you saved outside Bobtail, such as exported reports or photos in your Photos library, are not removed by deleting the account. Provider handling of retained operational data is governed by the applicable provider terms and policies.
Deleting your Bobtail account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it separately in Apple subscription settings.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Bobtail is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
