Bobtail: Trucker Ledger ("Bobtail", "we", "our", or "us") is operated by Daniel Raherimanjato. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account Information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase authentication).
• Financial Data: Loads, expenses, fuel receipts, and IFTA mileage records you enter or scan within the app.
• Receipt Images: Photos you take within the app are sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered data extraction. Images are not stored by us after processing.
• Device Information: Basic device identifiers used for crash reporting and app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Bobtail app and its features.
• To sync your data across your devices via Supabase cloud storage.
• To process receipt images using OpenAI's GPT-4o Vision API for automatic data extraction.
• To manage your subscription via RevenueCat.
• To respond to support requests.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate the app:

• Supabase – cloud database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• OpenAI – receipt image processing (openai.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat – subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Apple – in-app purchases and App Store services

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your data — including loads, expenses, IFTA records, and your authentication account — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

5. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

6. Children's Privacy

Bobtail is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
